Hindfoot Arthritis

Arthritis in the foot or ankle can result from age, injury, or autoimmune conditions. Advanced surgical options, such as ankle fusion or joint fusion, may be necessary for severe cases.

From Wear and Tear to Post-Traumatic Care

Arthritis can affect the foot or ankle as we age. Some etiologies include autoimmune conditions and others are from normal wear and tear. Post traumatic arthritis can occur after ankle fractures or other fractures of the hindfoot. More advanced surgeries like ankle fusion, triple arthrodesis, subtalar joint fusion or an IM rod may be an end stage option for you.
